The story behind Comet Trawl goes all the way back to 1963...

...when the company was founded in Esbjerg. Today, Comet Trawl is recognized as one of Denmark's largest and oldest wading companies with production facilities in Esbjerg and Thyborøn.

The story

2022 |Comet trawl acquires Inoxline

2010 | Jørgen Poulsen is retiring

2008 | Comet Trawl acquires Arnes Trawl and wader binderi in Thyborøn.

2005 | Comet Trawl mergers with Southwest trawl.
Ruben Larsen from Sydvesttrawl joins the company.

2003 | Comet Trawl is expanding and moving to new and larger premises. The connection with the move, the company's concept changes in a more international direction. In 2003, the workforce numbered 5 trained waders and 1 apprentice.

1999 | Attempts are being made to strengthen the position, not least abroad, in connection with waterbinder John B. Brink joining the company. Brink joining the company.

1985 | Vodbinder Jørgen Poulsen becomes co-owner of the company. His primary purpose with the ownership is to expand the trade in fishing and to build some new niches within trade in nets. Jørgen himself ran the company together with Simon until 1993, when Simon unfortunately had to succumb to his illness.

1963 | Comet Trawl was founded by fishing skipper Simon Rejkjær, with the primary purpose of serving the consumer and industrial fisheries in Denmark. Simon ran the company himself from 1963-1985.
